A Karmic Stroke?

Ray Jackson, the foster parent of those four boys found starved and digging through the trash for food, has had a massive stroke and is now in a coma.

Mr. Jackson and his wife recently did an interview with New York Magazine in which he claimed that the four boys “lied on him” and his wife. The article paints the foster parents as victims.

My social worker side feels nothing but pity for these boys (who since they have been removed from the Jackson home are growing and gaining weight at a normal rate), I have seen and heard dozens of foster care horror stories through the years, unfortunately, anything Is possible.

My bleeding heart liberal also feels for the boys, but will with-hold judgment on the Jackson’s since I was not there, I do not know what really happened.

All in all, a tragic tale that just gets more tragic.
