The key to looking good on special occasions is planing in time! What does that mean? If you have a wedding/prom/ ball to attend and you know the date and time of the event make your planning at the hair dresser/make-up artist. I had my hair dresser appointment before I had my gown or anything else. Try to find your dress at least one month before the event so you have time to bring it to the tailor for alterations.
If you don't know what to wear or what style to go for, check out Pinterest or any fashion blog or magazine, they are usually filled whit inspirational outfits. I for one knew that I wanted a simple and long gown and finally found the ONE! First I looked around in my hometown and then visited Cluj, but in the end found my dress in Marta Style shop . They have amazing dresses at a good price. Didn't want to spent a furtune on the dress and only wear it once or twice. I bought my dress in April. I thought that finding a dress would be the hardest part, but no, finding the perfect sandals was the hardest. I was in Budapest for two weeks in April and looked in almost every store, but didn't find the perfect golden sandal. I was really heart broken, that in such a big city as Budapest I couldn't find a decent pair of heels. So I searched online, I looked up Asos, Mango, Zara and some other american sites. As a miracle I found The golden shoes I was looking for, which are not quite golden but have golden flowers on them. I also looked up their accessories and found a really stylish pair of chandelier earrings.
My hair was done by the talented Csernaczki Emoke and my make-up was done by me. I really wanted to do my own make-up, because I knew what I wanted. I did a bit of a smokey eye whit a berry mate lipstick. I really like the end result!
What are your tips for getting ready for a special occasion?
Have a lovely day!
